Tucker Starling delivered a complete-game gem to help the Callaway Cavaliers earn a 3-2 road win over Jeff Davis on Saturday.

The game completed a two-day trip to the southern part of the state for Callaway, which lost to Vidalia 4-1  on Friday.

Starling had everything working for the Cavaliers.

The junior right-hander held Jeff Davis to three hits in seven innings while striking out five batters.

Offensively, Callaway did just enough against Jeff Davis pitcher Garrett Baucom, who threw a complete-game seven hitter.

The Cavaliers scored a single run in the first inning and two more runs in the second, and that was all they needed the way Starling was dealing.

Starling also got the job done offensively with two hits and an RBI, and Kaden Rogers had a double and an RBI.

Justin Moore and Bryce Hubbard each had a hit and a run scored, and leadoff hitter CJ Stephens had a base hit and reached on a walk.

Callaway (7-3) will visit Handley on Tuesday in its only game of the week.
