COLUMBUS – A grand slam by Ben Alford was one of the many offensive highlights for the LaGrange Grangers during Friday’s 22-0 road win over Kendrick.

Alford, who finished with five RBIs, hit a grand slam during an 18-run first inning.

Landon Tucker had two hits with a double and three RBIs, and Mason Wolfe had two hits and one RBI.

Kevin Neighbors had one hit and two RBIs, TJ Wilkerson had one hit and an RBI, Trey Cook, Matthew Morgan and Preston Pressley each had an RBI, Will Alford walked twice and scored three runs, and Turner Cook walked three times.

Chase Williams pitched for LaGrange, and he didn’t allow a hit in two innings, and he had six strikeouts.

LaGrange (7-6 overall), which improved to 2-1 in Region 2-AAAA, will host Kendrick on Tuesday.
