Man found in possession of drugs after head-on collision on Lafayette Parkway

Charges are pending against a LaGrange man after he was found at fault for a collision Tuesday on Lafayette Parkway.

According to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department, Daniel Binion failed to maintain his lane while traveling east on Lafayette Parkway. Binion’s vehicle crossed the roadway into the westbound lane and struck a box truck head on.

The press release said that Binion and the occupants of the other vehicle all sustained injuries and were taken to the Piedmont Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus.

Binion was found to be in possession of a large amount of illegal narcotics including Xanax, marijuana and methamphetamine, according to the LPD press release.
