The LaGrange Grangers ran their Region 2-AAAA record to 3-1 with a 9-0 home win over the Shaw Raiders on Friday.

LaGrange (8-6 overall) has won three straight region games since losing to Columbus 1-0 in its region opener.

LaGrange will look for its fourth straight region win when it visits Shaw on Monday.

In Friday’s game, LaGrange got outstanding performances from its three pitchers who threw a combined no-hitter.

Matthew Morgan started and pitched three innings, and he was untouchable.

The senior right-hander didn’t give up any hits, and he had eight strikeouts.

Trevor Booton and Chase Williams each pitched two innings to finish it, and they were dominant as well.

LaGrange started quickly with three runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Morgan had an RBI groundout, and Turner Cook knocked in two runs with a two-out double.

LaGrange scored three more runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Seth Stargell had a sacrifice fly, and Alford had an RBI single.

Kevin Neighbors added a two-run single later in the game as the Grangers kept pouring it on.
