Ethel Bankston, 86, of  LaGrange, departed on Sunday at her home.

Mrs. Ethel Bankson, the daughter of the late Cirero and Fannie Bell Reed, was born in the Gabbettville/Cannonville Community of Troup County.  Ethel joined Thankful Baptist Church at an early age and later a long-standing member and Youth Leader of Leete Hill UMC.

Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years Warner Bankston, sons; Randy(Carla) Bankston of  Stone Mountain, Georgia, Rickey Bankston of Lawerencville, Georgia and Craig Bankston of LaGrange, one daughter Toni Annette(Ralph) Wilburn of Fairburn, Georgia, six grandchildren,  seven great-grandchildren, three sisters; Hattie, Lula and Edith, loving relatives, church family and special friends.

She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her daughter Jacqueline Bankston, five brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. in Southview Cemetery with the Rev. James Woods officiating.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at Leete Hill UMC.
