LaGrange eases to road win

COLUMBUS – A seven-run third inning helped power the LaGrange Grangers to an 11-2 victory over the Shaw Raiders on Monday.

LaGrange (9-6 overall) improved to 4-1 in Region 2-AAAA with the road win.

Trevor Booton and Chase Williams combined to get the job done on the mound.

Booton started and pitched five innings, and he held Shaw to three hits, one run while striking out 10 batters.

Williams pitched the final two innings, and he gave up one hit and one run.

Offensively, Kevin Neighbors had two hits with a triple while driving in three runs.

Matthew Morgan had two hits with a triple and an RBI, and Seth Stargell had one hit and two RBIs.

Zach Thompson had one hit and one RBI, and Preston Pressley had a hit.
