Mr. Jack Burns Wetherington, Jr., 80, of LaGrange, passed away on March 19, 2021. Mr. Wetherington was born on December 26, 1940, in Tifton, Georgia to the late Jack Burns Wetherington, Sr. and Martha Sue Herring Wetherington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew Wayne Wetherington (youngest of four boys).

He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Following his military duty, he worked for over twenty years at Uniroyal as an Industrial Engineer and finished his working days at New Ventures in LaGrange.

Survivors include his wife, Beverley Tankersley Wetherington; sons, Jack Burns Wetherington, III (Francis) and Robert Bartley “Bobby” Wetherington; brothers, Paul Wetherington (Susan) and Mark Wetherington (Glenna); sister, Dawn W. Williams (Sam); grandchildren, Kalieann Wetherington and Amelia Wetherington; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. A private family service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand. Family will assemble at the funeral home at noon on Saturday. Friends are asked to join the service via live-stream at www.facebook.com/higginslagrangechapel.
