James A. Williams “Jim,” 90, completed his final project on this earth on Thursday, April 15, 2021.
He is the son of the late Corinne Burk Williams and Herbert Williams of LaGrange, Georgia. Jim is a graduate of LaGrange High School and attended Georgia Tech. He received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University. During his career, he did research and development with Celanese of America and Pelton and Crane Dental Supply in Charlotte, North Carolina. His many interests and hobbies included jewelry making, gun repair and collecting, coin collecting, wood working, restoration of an old house, and care and restoration of antique cars.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Brown Williams; sons, Lee and David; daughter-in-law, Sheryl and devoted companion, Percy.
The family requests that donations be made to the Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, Florida 32960 because of their compassion and loving care of him during his final hours.
