Cougars ease to road win

It was an easy day at the office for the Lafayette Christian School Cougars, who overwhelmed Community Christian 18-3 on Monday at the Harris Baseball Complex.

The Cougars (18-3) busted it open with seven runs in the first inning, and they added five more runs in the second inning before scoring six runs in the bottom of the third to finish it.

Brock Tumlin had two hits and an RBI for the Cougars, and Adam Barnett had two hits with a double.

Nathan Karvelas and Landon Bush each had a hit and two RBIs, Tanner Jackson had a double and an RBI while walking twice, and Braden Firth had a base hit and an RBI.

Eli Bowen and Kameron Propst each had an RBI, and Jacob Karvelas had a double.

Paul Batstini pitched the three-inning complete game and held Community Christian to two hits.
