LaGrange High’s soccer teams, after taking the first round off, will begin their state-playoff journeys this week.

Both LaGrange teams had byes in the first round of the Class AAAA playoffs, and they’ll have an opportunity to advance to the final eight with wins this week.

First up will be the LaGrange Lady Grangers, who will be at Perry for a first-round matchup.

While LaGrange finished second in Region 2-AAAA, Perry won the Region 4-AAAA title before beating Westover 10-0 in the first round.

The winner will play Flowery Branch or Marist in the third round.

The LaGrange Grangers, the number one seed from Region 2-AAAA, will begin its state stay with a home game on Thursday against Bainbridge.

Bainbridge, the third seed from Region 1-AAAA, got a 5-3 road win over Spalding County in the first round to advance.

If LaGrange beats Bainbridge, its third-round opponent would be Druid Hills or East Hall.
