It’s been a few months since LaGrange resident and business owner Lindsey Robinson opened The Local Chiropractic, and a ribbon cutting was held on Friday to officially add her business to the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce.

The ribbon cutting was originally scheduled for March as the business was getting off the ground, but Robinson pushed it until later in order to get The Local Chiropractic running smoothly.

“It’s been very busy, and I just needed time,” Robinson said during The Local Chiropractic’s ribbon cutting ceremony.

Robinson runs the business with one other employee, Margie Brown.

The business is self-pay, meaning it doesn’t take insurance, however Robinson strives to keep her services accessible price-wise for her customers.

“I try to focus on wellness and keeping people out of pain,” Robinson said.

“We compare it to people getting their oil changed or getting their teeth cleaned and staying on top of their wellness.”

During her childhood, Robinson suffered from migraines that prevented her from engaging in sports. After seeing a chiropractor, she was able to move on with her life and build her own future as a chiropractor.

After graduating from LaGrange College in 2015, she attended a chiropractic school at the Life University in Marietta until 2019. After working as an associate chiropractor, she was able to branch out on her own and has settled comfortably in downtown LaGrange.

“At the end of each week, we say ‘it can’t get any better than this’ and then it does,” Robinson said.

The Local Chiropractic is located at 104 Church Street.
