Mr. David Anthony Tigner passed away Thursday.

He was born August 14, 1961, the son of the late Artic and Mary Pearl Gates Tigner, in Troup County, Georgia.

He attended school in the Troup County School System and graduated from Troup High School, Class of 1979.  David went on to continue his education and graduated from Morris Brown College with Honors, Class of 1984.

David was employed by the Troup County School System, Twin Cedars Youth Home, Milliken and Company’s Elm City; and lastly, Freudenberg, NOK.

Survivors include his children, Broderick Anthony (Shantell) Hodnett and Davionna Tigner; two grandchildren; : Martavious Hodnett and Broderick Hodnett, Jr; brother, Robert (Ilantha) Tigner; three sisters:  Fannie Tigner, Wyomia (Thomas) Neely, Glennie (Bobby) Parks; nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
