Mrs. Sue Woodfin, 67, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia.
Mrs. Woodfin was born April 12, 1954, in Hogansville, Georgia, daughter of the late Grover Purgason and Margie Smith Purgason.
She was a member of SouthCrest Church where she taught Women’s Bible Study. Mrs. Woodfin was employed as the Human Resources Manager for Trackmobile for 32 years before retiring.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Melvin Woodfin.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Blair (Jamin); granddaughter, Isabelle Grace Blair; grandson, Grayson Baxter Blair; sisters, Cathy Adams (Rickey) and April Anderson (Mike); sisters-in-law, Debbie Gilley and Diane Allen; several nieces and nephews; and close friend, Becky Grubbs.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021, in Shadowlawn Cemetery with Pastor Pete Shoger and Josh Sells officiating.
The gathering of family and friends will be from 12 p.m.. to 1 p.m. at SouthCrest Church with the Celebration of Life service following at 1 p.m. with Pastor Pete Shoger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Emory Winship Cancer Institute, Multiple Myeloma Research, 1365 E. Clifton Rd N.E. Building C, Atlanta, GA 30322 in memory of Mrs. Sue Woodfin.
