Melvin C. Brown, 75, of LaGrange departed on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Florence Hand Home.

Melvin Brown the son of the late Mac Brown and Gennie Lakes Brown was born on September 20, 1945.

Melvin, a 29 year retiree of Milliken, was a graduate of East Depot High and received an Associate Degree from Lagrange College.

Survivors include his son Derrick Brown, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, step grands, great-grands and great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, one brother, a host of special relatives and longtime friend Truman Estes.

He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by his loving wife Min. Lois Brown and loving sister Carrie Owens.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday at 12noon at Restlawn Memory Gardens.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mackey-Wilson-Jennings.
