Mr. Melvin Aaron Cofield passed away Friday.

He was born January 31, 1963, in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Hattie Mae Cofield and Roger “Short” Gates.

He graduated from LaGrange High School.

Survivors include his son, Erico Lamot “Rico” Terrell; four grandchildren; one great granddaughter; Hattie Ruth (Steve) Childs, LaGrange, Georgia; and Margie Ann Cofield, Houston, Texas; three brothers:  Horace (Linda) Cofield, Shawn Cofield, all of LaGrange, Georgia; and Danny (Sandra) Cofield, Kentucky; one aunt, Mary Ann Tucker, LaGrange, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. The Service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Southview Cemetery.
