There are probably more than a few of you reading that remember decorating a wagon or bicycle to take part in the annual Sweet Land of Liberty parade.

It’s one of the most unique parades you’ll ever see as all of the participants are on non-motorized vehicles. It’s a tradition for many to go out and watch the parade as it makes its way around the square on the Fourth of July.

If you remember, last year the parade was held virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It the safest decision to make at that time, as it meant people could enjoy the tradition of watching the parade from their own homes.

But it felt a lot different. Really different.

We’re so thankful that the parade is back this year.

The JSL holds has its hand in many events throughout the year, but the parade and attic sale are the two biggest. Both were impacted by COVID-19 last year.

We hope you’ll support the JSL, and the parade by attending this year. Note that the parade is on Saturday at 10 a.m., technically on July 3.

We thank the JSL for continuing this tradition each year, as well as anyone else who plays a role in getting everything set up and organized. After last year, we encourage you to soak up the fun and the tradition.

We hope to see you there.
