Local governments will be closed on Monday, July 5 in observance of the Fourth of July.

The City of LaGrange will be closed on Monday, July 5, according to Katie Van Schoor, City of LaGrange marketing and communications manager. The LaGrange Police Department and LaGrange Fire Department will remain open.

Garbage and recycling pickup days will be delayed by one day. If your pickup day is on Monday, for example, it will be delayed until Tuesday.

West Point’s city government will be closed on July 5, according to City of West Point. Amwaste, who picks up garbage and recycling items in West Point, says that because July 4 falls on a Sunday, it will observe its regular pickup schedule.

Police and fire services in West Point will remain open.

Hogansville’s city government will be closed on July 5, according to Traci Jones of Hogansville’s city hall. Police and fire services in Hogansville will remain open.

C&C Sanitation, who picks up garbage for Hogansville, couldn’t be reached. But according to the city of Hogansville website,  if your garbage pickup day falls on July 4, it will be delayed by a day.

The U.S. Postal Service will be closed nationally on July 5.
