Every year, we host a cover contest on our Facebook page, allowing the community to vote on which athletes they want to see on the front of Pigskin Preview, the newspaper’s annual high school football magazine.

It’s always a lot of fun watching the community get involved in the contest. And over the years, we’ve seen a variety of different covers picked for the magazine.

If you haven’t heard, the contest is going on now on our website and will continue until 5 p.m. on Friday. The cover with the most votes will win the contest. Unlike past years, during this year’s contest you can vote once per hour.

There have already been well over 1,000 votes cast, and we think there will be a lot more by Friday’s deadline.

We’re excited to publish the magazine, which comes out on Aug. 18. As always, it’ll be an in-depth look at our local high school football teams as they get ready for the season.
