Sharon Elaine Hicks of LaGrange passed away on July 27, 2021. She was born in Lafayette, Alabama on July 30,1943, to the late Avery Lee Wilson and Jessie LaMarle Abernathy Wilson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Susan Mason and her brother-in-law, James Mason.

Mrs. Sharon Elaine Hicks is survived by her husband, Rev. A. Jerome Hicks; her children, Janet Hicks, Jeff Hicks (Tanya Hicks), and Jill Dunklee (Barry); her sister, Linda Walls (Dave); her grandchildren, Ashley Ozley, Brittany Cavender (Roger), and Avery Calhoun (Katlyn Driver); her great grandchildren, Laila Ozley, Lakyn Ozley, Bristol Cavender, Charlee Kate Cavender; and one great grandson on the way, Denver.

The graveside funeral was held at Restlawn Memory Gardens on Friday, July 30, 2021, at 11  a.m. Pastor Donnie Benefield officiated the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org or to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
