Florence Dowell, 70, of 115 Iris Drive departed on Friday at her home.

Mrs. Florence Dowell was the daughter of the late Mr. Florence and Ella Mae Kenneybrew and was born in Troup County.

She was a faithful member of New Beginning Baptist Church.

Mrs. Florence was employed with Milliken Unity Plant and the Troup County School System.

She leaves to cherish her memory loving children; daughters Teresa Reed, Jacqueline Cherry,  Latasha Dowell,  and son Ivan Dowell all of Lagrange, stepchildren, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two brothers; William(Phylliss) Kenneybrew, Biloxi, MS. and Charlie Patterson of Atlanta, two sisters Evelyn Kenneybrew and Lona(Donald) Lovelace all of Lagrange, special nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death in addition to her parents and husband Joe Ira Dowell by one brother Frank Patterson.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 1pm at Restlawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. William Harris officiating.

Chapel viewing will be held on Tuesday from 5 -7 p.m. at Mackey-Wilson-Jennings.
