Thomas Ellis Burdette, Sr., of LaGrange, passed away on August 10, 2021. He was born on September 13, 1945 to the late Edwin Otis Burdette, Sr. and Emma Jewell Rosamond Burdette in LaGrange. Mr. Burdette was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a Life Member of Telephone Pioneers. He worked for AT&T from 1963 – 1985 working various management positions. From 1985 – 2011 he was the owner of Telecom Enterprise. He continued his working career at the Russell County Commission Office from 2011 until his passing. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Morrison Burdette.

Survivors include his son, Thomas E. Burdette, Jr.; daughter, Shannon Burdette Clark (Robbie); granddaughters, Rory Kloster, Karsyn Burdette, Emma Burdette, and Ramsey Clark; grandson, Price Burdette; sister, Ellen Burdette Williams (Coleman); brother, Ruben Burdette (Janet); brother-in-law, Mike Morrison (Kay), and Jamie Morrison (Cheryl); extended family and friends.

Family will have a memorial service on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 4 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand with Rev. Jimmy Pruitt officiating.
