Mrs. Julia Marie Garner Hackle, 77, passed away on August 14, 2021. Mrs. Hackle was born on April 21, 1944 in Pine Mountain to the late Thomas Sargent Garner, Sr. and Elizabeth Virginia Haynes Garner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Garner; brothers, John Alfred Garner and Thomas Sargent Garner, II. Survivors include her husband, James A. Hackle; son, Timothy L. Buttrum; sister, Virginia Jo Steele (Jack); brothers, Gregory F. Garner and Peter L. Garner; several nieces, nephews and extended family. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Garner Family Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family will gather at the graveside for a time of visitation starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
