LPD responds to stabbing incident over weekend

A man was stabbed outside of his residence Sunday evening.

According to a LaGrange Police Department press release, officers with the LPD responded to the 200 block of McGregor Street at approximately 5:15 p.m. in reference to a subject who had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers met with a resident who advised that the victim, a 33-year-old male, had been stabbed in front of that residence by an unknown party and had been transported to the hospital prior to officers’ arrival.

The LPD’s Criminal Investigations Section responded and initiated an investigation, ultimately speaking with the victim who was being treated for his injuries at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. At the time of the press release, the identity of the perpetrator was unknown.
