Officers arrested Caliph Spaulding, 24, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, on eight counts of identity fraud and eight counts of fraudulent transactions with a card, according to a press release from the LPD.
On Friday, Aug. 20, at around 12:17 p.m., officers with the LPD responded to 150 Tom Hall Parkway, Great Wolf Lodge, in reference to a male using stolen credit card numbers.
The Criminal Investigations Section was notified and began an investigation into the incident.
It was determined that Spaulding had been allegedly keying in illegally obtained credit card numbers which he had stored on his cellular device to make purchases at the location.
During the investigation, it was determined that the eight different credit card numbers
Spaulding used had been reported stolen or had been fraudulently used by the cardholder.
Spaulding also had in his possession a credit card reader/encoder, per the release. The investigation is still ongoing but at the time the press release was generated, it was not believed that Spaulding obtained the credit card numbers from guests at the Great Wolf Lodge.
