On Friday, Clearview Elementary School students, teachers, and parents were notified that students will be on a virtual learning model Monday through Wednesday due to a rise in positive Covid-19 cases, which resulted in an increased number of student and staff quarantines at Clearview Elementary.

“In the best interest of students and staff, we will move to all remote learning for all students at Clearview Elementary,” said Superintendent Brian Shumate. “Please know that we are taking this action to protect the health and safety of our students, staff, and families as their well-being is our top priority.”

Troup County School System’s (TCSS) Environmental Services will be fogging the entire school beginning Friday evening and extra sanitization will take place during the closure. All Clearview Elementary School students will be operating under a virtual learning model Aug. 30- Sept. 1, 2021 with plans to return to normal routines on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021. TCSS said in a press release that it will continue to monitor the situation and communicate any updates via email, social media and the troup.org website.
