If you stepped outside early in the morning or in the evening hours this weekend, then you likely had the same reaction all of us did.

We all jumped back, looked around and thought, “Whoa fall, is that you?”

For the first time in what feels like ages, there was a cold touch to the air. Some of us even dug out a light coat for the first time in six months.

It won’t be long before the weather does actually turn cold, but in our opinion, this is one of the best times of the year.

We’re sort of inbetween the move from the hot weather of summer and transitioning to the colder weather that accompanies fall.

That often gives us days at the start of October where the weather isn’t too hot, isn’t too cold, and feels like the perfect time to be outside.

We hope you’ll take advantage of that this weekend.

It’s a perfect time to hit the Thread, get out to the lake or just enjoy some time working in the yard. Temperatures outside will get into the low 80s this weekend, but they’ll dip into the 50s at night.

In just a few weeks, our clocks will “fall back” and we’ll lose an hour where we could’ve enjoyed the sunshine and nice, fall breeze.

Don’t lose that opportunity this weekend. We hope to see you outside, enjoying some family time and some of the best weather days of the year.
