Mrs. Nellie Faye Meadows, 89 of LaGrange, Georgia passed away on Oct. 3, 2021. 

Mrs. Meadows was born in Roopville, Georgia to the late Ezra Thomas and Thelma Folds Thomas Brand on Sept. 5, 1932.  Along with her parents, Mrs. Meadows is predeceased by her husband, Edgar Leroy Meadows; brothers, Horace Thomas, Merlin Thomas, and James Thomas; sister, Helen Thomas. 

Mrs. Meadows was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and attended Baptist Tabernacle.  She dearly loved her family, gardening, puzzles, sewing and her Atlanta Braves.

Mrs. Meadows is survived by her daughters, Helen Smith (Aaron) and Patricia Hadaway (Bobby); brothers, Argle Thomas (Debra), and Harold “Pete” Thomas (Shirley); grandchildren, Blake Hadaway, Ethan Hadaway, and Jacob Hadaway; step-grandchildren, Brandon Smith (Lindsay), Jason Hadaway, and Dori Hadaway Pelley.

Family will receive friends for visitation at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct.7, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Shadowlawn Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or donation be made to the WellStar West Georgia Hospice, 1510 Vernon Rd., LaGrange, Georgia, 30240. The family will receiving friends at the home of Helen Smith, 220 Hill Rd., LaGrange, Georgia, 30240.
