John “JR” Thompson passed away Oct. 10, 2021, at his home in Fairhope, Alabama.

JR was preceded in death by his parents John and Kathleen Thompson and daughter Sharon Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Hamner Thompson, daughters Susan “SueSue” Whatley (Gary) and Sandra Lockard (Johnny). Grandchildren Jenna Jackson (Ben), Alex Whatley (Whitney), John Runels and Kyle Noles. Great grandchildren Hayden, Hutson, Hazeleigh, Lucas and Amelia Kate.

He was loved by all, especially his family. He loved the financial world and his cowboy movies.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday Oct. 13, 2021.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Spring Hill Hospice in Daphne, Alabama.
