Callaway started slow Friday night, but got it going before the half in a 35-7, bounce-back win at Bremen.

Neither team scored until just before the half, when DeShun Coleman threw a touchdown to Treyonn Tucker to put the Cavaliers up 7-0. Tucker made a one-handed catch in the corner of the end zone on the play.

Callaway added three touchdowns in the third quarter to put the game away. Quay Whitfield and Amarion Truitt scored on touchdown runs, and Carlos Billingslea ran a kickoff back for a touchdown to make the score 28-7 Cavaliers.

Korey Jackson ran an interception back 65 yards in the fourth quarter to put the finishing touches on a 28-point victory.

It was a good recovery for Callaway, who had a tough home loss against Haralson County last week.

Callaway will host Temple on Oct. 28 in its next game.
