Mrs. Mavis Rainey Wright, 87, of LaGrange, passed away on Oct. 17, 2021. Mrs. Wright was born June 1, 1934, in Lanett, Alabama to the late Dewitt Rainey and Bessie Jones Rainey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Layton Wright and a sister, Ruth Rainey Garner. Mrs. Wright was the owner of Ann’s Florist in LaGrange for many years and a member of the Dunson Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Layton Michael Wright; daughter, Beverly Lyn Wright; grandchildren, Kristi Fenninger (Mark) and Leora Wright; great-grandchildren, Kimberleigh Stanish and Kaitlin Fenninger and one great-great-grandchild on the way; extended family and friends. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Shadowlawn Cemetery.
