Lonnie R. Cross, III from LaGrange, Georgia via Los Palmos Panama, and Key West Florida has passed away.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on Nov. 8, 1943. 

Lonnie was the son of Lonnie R Cross Jr. and Henrietta Cross. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is also joining his wife of over 50 years, Walda Ann Cross and his son Lonnie R. Cross IV, in heaven.

Survivors include children, Kimberly (Terrell) Buchan, Meredith Cross, Gwenn (Scot) Whittington, grandchildren, Dalton Cross, Lonnie R. Cross V, Mckinley Cross, his little buddy, great-grandson Bentley Wilkins, and sister Mary A. Cross.

A business owner and entrepreneur, Lonnie was also an avid fisherman. He loved gardening, exotic adventures and most of all, he loved his family.

Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.mckoon.com A celebration of Lonnie’s life will be Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson St. Newnan, Georgia with the Rev. Don Daly officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
