Last week, LaGrange had a chance to secure the No. 2 seed in class AAAA, region 2. Troup High ruined those plans.

This week, the Grangers had a chance to ensure themselves of the No. 3 seed in the region. They didn’t let the opportunity slip by this time around.

A.J. Tucker, J’Arthur Dunn and Kobe Jones scored first half touchdowns as the Grangers defeated Hardaway 24-6. LaGrange led 21-0 at the half.

The Grangers will play on the road next week in the playoffs. Their opponent was not immediately known Friday night.

The win finished off an 8-2 regular season for LaGrange. The team’s only two losses were to the teams who finished higher than them in the final region standings — Carver and Troup.
