Mike Pauley, the athletic director for LaGrange High School, won Athletic Director of the Year for region 2AAAA. The award was won through votes by fellow coaches and athletic directors in the region. 

Pauley said he is honored to have won the award and be acknowledged for the work he does with the school. Pauley graduated from LHS himself and has worked with the school for over 20 years.

““I was honored to be selected by my peers… It’s a very nice thing to receive, to be affirmed at what you do and be able to recognize that you’re working hard for your school and things like that,” Pauley said.

Pauley said that he would be remiss if he did not mention and thank the wonderful team that he works with every day.

““it’s a real tribute to the team at LaGrange High School and my principal Allen White is an amazing leader to work for,” Pauley said.

Tiffany Bailey, the athletic secretary for LHS, initially announced the award on their website and said Pauley is a blessing to work with.

“It is a blessing to work with him, for him and at LaGrange High School. He is the true meaning of a coach on and off the field,” Bailey said.
