Mr. Carlos Barrett, 47, passed away Wednesday.

He was born October 27, 1974 in LaGrange, Georgia to Christine Barrett and the late Roy Barrett.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior under the leadership of Bishop Donald F. Lancaster who also baptized him.

Carlos attended LaGrange High School, and was previously employed by  several companies including Glovis, before becoming the owner of Str8Way Trucking.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda L. Barrett; three daughters:  Diamond Dudley, Kiera Dudley, Shacarla Barrett; son, Sergio Barrett; seven grandchildren; sisters:  Kinina Barrett and Chedbreka (Sherman) Williams; brothers:  Byron Smith, Demetria Barrett, and Travis (Chiquita) Childs; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and extended family – “The Southside”.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. The Service will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at City Light Church.
