Mrs. Wanda Gay O’Neal, 70, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. O’Neal was born Jan. 9, 1951, in LaGrange, Georgia, daughter of the late William Henry Gay and Mary Eugenia Segrest Gay.  She was a member of Baptist Tabernacle and was a hairstylist for 55 years. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Raymond Myhand and a brother-in-law, Basil Young.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Tommy O’Neal; daughter, Wendy Raper (Shane); grandsons, Slone Raper and Jace Raper; sister, Carolyn Young; nieces, Whitney Lance (Cody), Dana King (Tommy), and Sharon Johnson (Phillip); sisters-in-law, Erlene Pressley and Glennis O’Neal; brother-in-law, Glenn Legg; and several great nieces and great nephews and extended family members.

The Celebration of Life service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at Baptist Tabernacle with the Rev. Jimmy McMillian officiating.  Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.  The gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday from noon to 12 p.m. at the church.
