Mr. Huby Nasworthy, of Pine Mountain, passed away on Dec. 6, 2021.  Mr. Nasworthy was born on Nov. 21, 1946, in LaGrange to the late Otis Nasworthy and Lucille Smith Whitten.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard, 56th Engineering Group. After attending Young Harris College and Southern Union College, he worked for Georgia Pacific as an Environmental Coordinator and Supervisor on the third shift. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Thompson Nasworthy; daughters, Tiffany Smith and her husband Larry and Taylor Stephens and her husband Michael; siblings, Pat Waugh, Brenda Jackson, Ronnie Nasworthy and Jim Nasworthy and his wife Barb; grandchildren, Bentley Wright, Hunter Stephens, Evan Smith, Ava Smith, Rowan Stephens and Carrington Smith; nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services for Mr. Nasworthy will be held on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at 12 p.m. at the Oak Grove Congregational Christian Church in Pine Mountain. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday at the church beginning at 11 a.m. Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand, (706) 884-5626.
