1943-2021

Charlotte Marie McCamey Robinson’s earthly journey was completed on Wednesday at WellStar WGMC.

The daughter of the late Floyd McCamey, Sr. and Lorene Gates McCamey, was born June 14, 1943, in LaGrange, Georgia.

She attended school in the LaGrange School System and was a 1961 graduate of East Depot High School.

She moved to New York City where she was employed at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York City until her retirement.  She was married to Walter Robinson who preceded her in death in 2004.

Early in life, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and united with First Baptist Church, Fannin Street. Upon her return to LaGrange, she immediately reunited with First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sisters:  Rev. Johnnie McCamey (Willie) Freeman, Gail Jackson McCamey, Mina McCamey; brothers:  Charlie Dawson McCamey, Rev. Josh Thornton (Pam) McCamey, Kenneth Anthony McCamey, LeGree Deminigo McCamey, Floyd Meredith; loving nieces, nephews, cousins of the McCamey, Thornton, Hardy, McCamery, Franklin, Heard, Collins, Freeman, Gates, Black, Newton, Cox, Ray, Johnson, and Lovelace Families; her extended Union and East Depot Street Family; her amazing 1961 East Depot Classmates, Church family, loving Florence Hand Home family, other family members and friends.

The Service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Southview Cemetery.

The excellent care of Mrs. Robinson is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
