Individual arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, felony obstruction, and participation in criminal street gang activity

A 20-year-old man was arrested Friday night on gun, gang-related charges.

Nydarious Middlebrooks was arrested on Friday for three offenses: carrying a concealed weapon, felony obstruction, and participation in criminal street gang activity according to a press release from LaGrange Police Department.

At 10 p.m., LPD’s Special Investigations Unit attempted to make contact with Middlebrooks on Johnson Street as he was acting in a suspicious manner. Middlebrooks fled prior to investigators being able to make contact with him, according to the press release. Middlebrooks was apprehended a short distance later at a residence on Johnson Street.
Middlebrooks resisted arrest but was ultimately taken into custody.

A firearm was located in the yard where Middlebrooks was apprehended. During this incident, one officer received a minor head injury. At the time of this arrest, Middlebrooks was on active misdemeanor probation.
