John Boyd Hill, Sr., 82, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Hill was born July 22, 1939, in Belmont, North Carolina, son of the late Lillton Boyd Hill and Stella Mae Ham Hill. Before retirement, he worked as a welder in the construction industry. Mr. Hill proudly served his country in the United States Army. He loved his dog, “Goldie” and enjoyed time with his friends at the Auction House. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, John Hill Jr and David Hill.

Survivors include his step children, Delmont S. Green of Clarksville, Tennessee; Gail Everhart of LaGrange, Georgia; Susan B. Given of Sarasota, Florida; Julie G. Green and Judie Green, both of Lake City, Florida; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Maxine Cannon and Shirley Ferguson; brother, David Hill; several other relatives and friends.
