Mrs. Rosa Mae Dallis Gates passed away Saturday.

She was born March 9, 1922, to the late Virgil and Armelia Davenport Dallis in Chipley, Georgia.

She received her education and received Christ at an early age at Ebenezer Baptist Church and school.

Rosa moved to LaGrange, Georgia and began working with two wonderful families that cherished and loved her dearly, The Durands and The Woods.

Survivors include her children:  Mrs. Kelley Ruth White, Mr. Marion Frank Gates, Ms. Usher Jean Gates, Mrs. Shirley Ann (Robert) Gates; and step-daughter, Mrs. Shriel Ann (William) Johnson, of Florida; 11 grandchildren , 17 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; her only surviving sibling, Mrs. Lillian Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended grands whom she cherished and loved.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Friday from 5-7 p.m. The Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at East Side Baptist Church.
