Another year presented another opportunity for the LaGrange Cotillion Club to present several ladies into society during its grand ball in December.

First formed in 1927 by its first president, Mrs. Liz Rake Straw, the LaGrange Cotillion Club strives to ensure its members become successful women not only their community but also in other communities throughout the country.

Each year, the LaGrange Cotillion Club participates in a service project to better the community. This year, LaGrange Cotillion Club volunteered at First Choice Women’s Center where they conducted a coat drive. Coats were donated to LaGrange Clothing Center on Ridley Ave. They also helped pack snack bags for Meals on Wheels and Christmas gifts at First Presbyterian Church for homeless individuals in the area. This year, the club presented 13 ladies who underwent the experience in social etiquette:

MALONE ALDRIDGE

Miss Malone Madison Aldridge is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Madison Spence Aldridge and was presented by her father. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Terry Aldridge and Ms. Carol Cadenhead. Aldridge is a graduate of LaGrange High School and was a four-year Varsity Softball and Soccer player, a member of Student Council, National Honor Society, Senior Homecoming Court, Senior Spotlight, senior superlative and Young Life.

Aldridge is currently a freshman at Georgia Highlands College majoring in Dental Hygiene. At Georgia Highlands, she plays college softball. Matthew William Morgan was Aldridge’s escort.

 

ALLY ARP

Miss Ally Francis Arp is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Luther Arp and was presented by her father. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Irvin Ralph Thomas, the late Mrs. Mildred Pitt Thomas, the late Mr. Marion George Arp, and the late Mrs. Carol Wise Arp.

Arp is a graduate of LaGrange High School and was a four-year member of Varsity Golf and Cheer, Class Secretary, National Honors Society, Elite Talent Competitive Dance Team and was a Senior Homecoming Court Representative. Arp is currently a freshman majoring in Finance at the University of North Georgia. Grant Hall Stribling was Arp’s escort.

 

CHLOE DAGENHART

Miss Chloe Baker Dagenhart is the daughter of Ms. Melissa Lillian Kraatz and was presented by her brother, Richard Zachary Dagenhart. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Gwen Kraatz and the late Richard Kraatz.

Dagenhart is a graduate of LaGrange High School and was a member of Circle of Friends, Service Club, Cross Country, Red Cross, Chorus and LHS Diamond Dolls. Dagenhart is currently a freshman majoring in Elementary Education at Georgia Southern University and is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Layton Harris Payne was Dagenhart’s escort.

 

LOUISE DODSON

Miss Louise Olivia Dodson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Carl Dodson and was presented by her father. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Bobby Reent Gruben, the late Mrs. Ellen Louise Shelburne Gruben, Mrs. Donna Maria Kinast Dodson and the late Colonel Carl Eugene “Tucker” Dodson. Louise is a graduate of LaGrange High School. She was Valedictorian and a Distinguished Honor graduate and was a member of National Honors Society, LaGrange Youth Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Foreign Language Club, Service Club, Varsity Tennis and Varsity Track and Field. Louise is currently a freshman majoring in biology on the pre-med track at the University of Alabama and is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, Beat Auburn Beat Hunger Administrative Team for the Center Service and Leadership, Freshman Forum, UA Dance Marathon Miracle Maker, Club Tennis, Society of Women in Medicine and Campus Outreach. Judson Waters was Dodson’s escort.

ELLA EILAND

Miss Ella Grace Eiland is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Givhan Eiland and was presented by her father. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Svingen Gorrell, Mrs. Susan Givhan Hall, the late Dr. Stanley W. Hall, Jr., and Mr. William Howard Eiland. Eiland is a graduate of LaGrange High School and was Freshman, Sophomore and Senior Class President, Student Council President, Senior Year City of LaGrange Youth Council Representative, a Varsity Tennis member and Granger Award Recipient, National Honor Society member, National Technical Honor Society member and a Rotary Club Scholarship Recipient 2021. Eiland is currently a freshman majoring in Business at the University of Georgia.

ISABELLE HUNT

Miss Isabelle Olivia Hunt is the daughter of Mr. James Robert Hunt and Ms. Holly Hunnicutt Hunt and was presented by her father. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Darlene Hunnicutt, Mr. and Mrs. Jim and Robyne Hunnicutt, the late Isabelle Hunt and the late John Hunt.

Hunt is a graduate of LaGrange High School and was a member of Annual Staff and attended the European Study Abroad Program. Hunt is currently a freshman majoring in Marine Biology at the College of Charleston. Maxwell Hunnicutt Hunt was Hunt’s escort.

 

MYAH KUHN

Miss Myah Kuhn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Carns Kuhn and was presented by her father. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Susan Milan, the late Mr. George Milan, Mrs. Karen Kuhn, and the late Mr. Edward Kuhn. Kuhn is a graduate of LaGrange High School and was Class Vice President and President, a member of Service Club, Competition and Spirit Cheerleading, Soccer, Swimming, Circle of Friends and was a Homecoming Representative. Kuhn is currently a freshman Civil Engineer major at Kennesaw State University.

She is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineering, Undergraduate Research Club, CRU Bible Group and Concrete Canoe Team. Andrew Robert Gay III was Kuhn’s escort.

 

MACKENZIE MITCHELL

Miss Mackenzie Kay Mitchell is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy James Mitchell and was presented by her father. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Duane Heinje, Mrs. Barbara Sue Mitchell, and the late Mr. Christopher James Mitchell. Miss Chloe Gallagher Morman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Christopher Morman and was presented by her father.

ANNIE PAULEY

Miss Annie Laura Pauley is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wayne Pauley and was presented by her father.
