Mrs. Macy Lorie Hammock Cole, 86, of LaGrange, passed away on Jan. 15, 2022.

Mrs. Cole was born on Sept. 7, 1935, in Langdale, Alabama, to the late Dixie Lee Hammock and Katie Mae Hill Hammock.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Cole; infant children, Alton Lee Franklin, Jr. and Alan Lamar Franklin; sister, Lucille Taylor; brothers, Wayman Hammock, Harvey Hammock and Lamar Hammock; great-granddaughter, Kylie Beth Creed.

Survivors include her children, Steve Franklin (Marlys), Debora Pollard, Teresa Wilkinson and Becky Johnson (Steve); 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, at 3 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Private interment will be in the Osanippa Baptist Church Cemetery in Cusseta, Alabama.
