1935-2022

Mary E. Weaver was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, caregiver and dear friend during her incredible 86 years of life.

Mary passed away peacefully at home in Sarasota on Jan. 13, 2022, with loving family at her side.

Mary was born on April 16, 1935, in Elkhart, Indiana, the daughter of Retha and Mervin Culp. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two sons, Michael E. Schiltz and Daniel J. Schiltz.

Mary is survived by her sister, Phyllis Schuelke, Edwardsburg, Michigan, and her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary lived and worked in the Elkhart and Shipshewana areas prior to her retirement and moving to Sarasota, Florida, full-time.

Mary loved Jesus Christ. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, Euchre, Pinochle, and especially her time spent with family and friends. Mary will always be remembered for her kind heart and passion for life. She was always ready to help in moments of need and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is forever in our hearts.

Mary was cremated and will be laid to rest aside her two sons.

A celebration of life will be held in May and announced later.

In lieu of flowers the family would request that you donate to your local Hospice chapter.  Mary was a volunteer for many years with hospice and they played an incredible part in her comfort during her time of need.  Thank you.
