The Callaway Cavaliers girls basketball team beat Heard County for the second time this season 63-45. The game earlier this season was decided by only five points, but the second matchup was dominated by the Cavaliers.

Jazmin Thornton was the star for the Cavaliers once again as she scored 23 points, hauled in eight rebounds and dished out three assists. Lacy Thomas had a double-double as she scored 12 points and grabbed 13 boards.

This win over second place Heard County clinched the top spot in the region for the Cavaliers.

Callaway’s next game takes place across the border as they travel to Alabama to take on the Valley Rams on Saturday.
