LaGrange Girls Soccer Mercy Rule Carver For First Region Win

The LaGrange High School girls soccer team won 10-0 over Carver High School Wednesday to notch their first conference win of the season. The Grangers mercy ruled Carver after only 36 minutes played.

Two LaGrange players scored hat tricks: Sam Cottle and Tatum Fritchley. Karley Perry scored two with Ava Arrington and Adry Matias chipping in a goal a piece.

Sam Cottle earned woman of the match with her offensive display as she handed out two assists as well. Maddi Gay also handed out a couple of assists with Demi Russell, Adry Matias and Tatum Frittchley all credited with an assist.

Goalkeeper Emma Maradik deserves some credit as well as she kept her first clean sheet of the season.

The Grangers moved to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference. Their next game is against Northridge in Tuscaloosa, Alabama as they kick off a tournament with three games in two days.
