1941-2022

Mr. Joe C. Rearden, 80, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Joe was born May 2, 1941, in Opelika, Alabama, son of the late John Wesley Rearden and Lillie Mae McCammie Rearden. 

He was the co-owner of Angie’s Greenhouse for 39 years along with his soulmate, Elen Algalene Noles, who passed away in 2019.  Joe was Baptist by faith and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Conflict.

Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Ruff; grandson, Jon Cochran (Crystal); great grandsons, Natalea and Alex; brother-in-law, J.W. Noles; sisters-in-law, Shirley Fuller, Pamela Davis, and Joyce Looser (Clint); and many nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2022, in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, Georgia with the Rev. Max McCord officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.  The gathering of family and friends will be on Friday from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
