Mr. Leon Daniel passed away Thursday.

He was born July 8, 1938, in LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia to the late Harvey and Lue Jennie Wilkerson Daniel.

He united with the Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, was educated in Troup County and retired from Milliken & Company.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mattie Sue Daniel; two daughters: Lillian Daniel and Edith Salter, both of metro Atlanta, Georgia; five sons:  Charlie (Mary) Daniel, Franklin, Georgia; Grady Mack Dukes, Newnan, Georgia; Gary Person and Larry Earl, both of LaGrange, Georgia; and Deon Simpson, Atlanta, Georgia; 20 grandchildren; five sisters:  Emma Daniel and Amelia Daniel, both of LaGrange, Georgia; Lizzie Brewer and Ethel Kilby, both of Franklin, Georgia; Annie Lois Person, Atlanta, Georgia; five brothers:  Robert (Selena) Daniel, Eddie Person, Felton (Mary Ann) Person, Johnny Daniel, Baldwin, Florida and Charlie Daniel, Roanoke, Alabama; one brother-in-law, Willie Sayles, Carrollton, Georgia; one dear aunt, Ms. Sarah Strickland, College Park, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Service will be Friday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home. The excellent care of Mr. Daneil is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
