Mr. Haywood Taylor, Jr. passed away Wednesday.

He was born to Haywood Rosie Lee Taylor, Sr. on Aug. 21, 1949, in Columbus, Georgia; the eldest of seven children.  He was educated in the Columbus Public School System,  and united with Arbor Grove Baptist Church of LaGrange, Georgia. Haywood was an active Mason serving as a member of the following chapters:  St. Clyde Lodge #1, Kabah Temple #103 Potentate, and the George Washington Carver Consisery 33rd Degree.

Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Taylor of LaGrange, Georgia; children:  Christopher Taylor, Carol Akotey-Taylor, Valerie Taylor all of LaGrange, Georgia; bonus children:  Rickey Martin, Ronnie Martin, Jeffrey (Sherlonda) Martin, Maitresse (Shannon) Martin; ten grandchildren; siblings:  Barbara Jean (Otis) Coar, Temple Georgia; Rosie (Russell) Thomas, Columbia South Carolina; Ervin Green Taylor, Michael Taylor, and Idella Taylor, all of Columbus Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Arbor Grove Baptist Church.

The excellent care of Mr. Taylor is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
