Marcie Sherrer, 95, of LaGrange, went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2022, at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.

Mrs. Sherrer was born Dec. 23, 1926, in LaGrange, Georgia, daughter of the late William Anderson Cadenhead and Montana Brown Cadenhead. She was a faithful member of LaGrange First Baptist Church on the Square, where she was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class and the Merry Makers. Marcie also was very active at Dalton First Baptist Church while living up there.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward Sherrer; sons-in-law, Steve Hood and Jim Orr; sister, Alma Smith; and brothers, Harold Cadenhead and Wayne Cadenhead.

Survivors include her children, Thelia Hood, Eddie (Rose) Sherrer, and Elizabeth (Loy) Phelps; grandchildren, Sara (Joel) Ostrander, Zack Hood, Jason (Jenna) Sherrer, and John (Danielle) Sherrer; great-grandchildren, Ella Cate Sherrer and Hayden Sherrer; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2022, in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Paul Baxter, the Rev. Paul Blair and Pastor Cade Farris officiating. The Visitation will be prior from 3 p.m. until service time. A Private Family burial will follow.
