Nydarrian Deandre Laye, 16, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday.

He was born June 21, 2005, to Melinda and Christopher Kennedy and the late Tony Gilliam, Jr. in LaGrange, Georgia.

He was a student at LaGrange High School and previously played basketball with the LaGrange Knights and the Wolverines.

Survivors include his parents, Christopher and Melinda Kennedy; his siblings:  Christon Kennedy, Messian Kennedy, Jazziah Kennedy, Zaylen Kennedy, Ty’Quaveus Gilliam, Chance Gilliam, Skye Gilliam, ZyQueria Clark, Taniah Gates, Angel Hardnett, Taveica Gates, and Tameryanna Henderson; grandparents:  LaFaye Laye, Bertha Williams, Tony Gilliam, Sr., Sarah Kennedy; great-grandmother, Levolia Laye and Mary Williams; aunts and uncles:  Willie Butler, Tamika Kennedy, Roderick Kennedy, Broderick Kennedy, Sajuana Simpson, Alford McCord, Jr. special friend, JeCarlah Burden; and an array of very close friends, great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends.

The Service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at City Light Church.
